Think Commuting’s Tough? Try Being the Train

There was an excellent article that appeared in today's NY Times about Metro North's New Haven Division. It's from the perspective of a railcar, and what it and the staff that keeps it on the rails goes through. As many of you know, CT's Metro North New Haven line's cM2 cars are over 30 years old, and falling apart. New cars (the M8's) are on order from Kawasaki in Yonkers, NY- but they won't be delivered until late 2009...at the earliest. Very interesting read.
